Over $390,000 awarded to modernize local traffic signals |

Exeter Township and Saint Lawrence Borough were recently awarded a combined total of $395,560 in grants through the Green Light-Go Program to improve traffic safety and mobility by reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.
The awards will benefit the following roads and intersections:
This funding will make a difference for everyone who travels through Exeter Township and Saint Lawrence Borough. I’m pleased to see the state partner with our communities to make these important upgrades that will benefit residents, commuters, businesses, and visitors alike.
The Greenlight-Go Program is a competitive state grant program designed to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals in Pennsylvania and is administered by the state Department of Transportation. |

Examining the impacts of increased funding for career and technical education |
|

I joined fellow members of the House Majority Policy Committee this week to visit Technical College High School’s Downingtown Campus for a tour and roundtable discussion on increased funding for career and technical education.
As the demand for skilled trade jobs continues to grow, House Democrats increased funding for career and technical education in this year’s budget to help prepare more students for good-paying jobs.
As a former educator at the Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center, I have seen firsthand the difference life-changing access to quality education can make for our students entering the workforce.
Technical College High School offers a hands-on approach to education where students can apply the skills they learn in the classroom to real-world situations across a variety of industries. This year’s budget increased the state’s investment in career and technical education by $10 million, allowing even more students the chance to participate in these programs. |

Pathways to a career as a PA State Trooper expanded |
|
|
The Pennsylvania State Police is expanding opportunities for students and aspiring law enforcement professionals through partnerships with colleges and universities.
Through the Academy Internship Program, eligible college seniors can complete their final semester at the PSP Academy, earn academic credits, and begin their careers as a trooper after successfully completing cadet training. Interested students must apply by Sept. 30.
The 2026-27 state budget provides funding for approximately 380 new cadet appointments, reinforcing efforts to strengthen public safety and recruit the next generation of troopers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Ringgold Band concert at Jim Dietrich Park! Despite the heat, it was wonderful to see so many neighbors come together for an afternoon of great music and community.
A special thank you to the incredible Ringgold Band and to Muhlenberg Township for partnering with me to make this event possible. We were thrilled to serve over 200 hot dogs and more than 200 cups of soft pretzels to our guests!
