Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
|
On Monday, January 19th, we will reflect on the profound impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and the importance of service to others. In the spirit of what this incredible man stood for, we have the opportunity to dedicate our time to making a positive impact.
Whether it's volunteering, supporting local initiatives, or spreading kindness, every act of service brings us closer to the dream of equality and justice. Remember, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?"
My office will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026 in observance.
If you are looking for events in our area, please see below. Afterwards, all in attendance are invited to join the Willow Grove NAACP Unity March immediately following this event:

Recognizing a Young Resident in our Community
|
I was proud to welcome Seamus Ferry, a LaSalle College High School Senior and Abington resident, along with his parents Dan and Megan Ferry, to my office to present him with a Legislative Recognition to acknowledge his hard work and dedication to helping the homeless population in Philadelphia. Commissioner John Spiegelman from Abington Township Board of Commissioners joined us to present an Abington Commendation to him as well.
It's young people like Mr. Ferry who give me hope that our future will be filled with compassion for humanity. Congratulations Seamus and best of luck in your future endeavors.
