Dear Neighbor,

I’m happy to report that my Summer 2026 Newsletter is now in mailboxes across the 26th Legislative District here in Chester County.

This edition covers key community and state topics, including on my bill to pause data center development, state budget news, and upcoming events here in the district.

If you missed it, you can read it by clicking here.

I also hope that you find these occasional emails informative and helpful. I strive to keep you up to date about what’s going on in state government and local news.

Beginning 60 days before even-year elections, I can only contact you if you have “opted in” to read my emails. If you aren’t already opted in, you can do so by signing up at www.RepFriel.com.

Farmers’ Breakfast was a hit again

We had a great turnout for our third annual Farmer's Breakfast. Crow's Nest Preserve was a beautiful setting to meet with our local farmers and enjoy good food and talk about the most core of PA industries – agriculture!

Thank you to state Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding and Todd Sampsell from Natural Lands for speaking with our local farmers and PennAg Industries Association, and other partners for sponsoring.

We covered so many important topics, everything from land preservation to the effect of federal SNAP cuts on farms.

Thank you to Vesta Kitchen and The Beekeeper’s Café for the excellent food, and thank you to Chester County Economic Development Council and Rep. Dan Williams for joining and being part of the conversation!

Sincerely,

State Rep. Paul Friel

Honoring those who serve our community

I had the opportunity to spend time with our community recognizing the work of law enforcement officers and community leaders across Chester County this month!

It was great to connect with law enforcement officers from all over the community – from Chester County Sheriff officers to the North Coventry and Phoenixville Police Departments, East Vincent, East Pikeland, Upper Uwchlan and Chester County detectives, SWAT and emergency management.

A special shout out to Blade from Bus Patrol who finished off my water ice!

Calling high school students interested in government!

Are you a high school junior or senior who is interested in government or politics? You can join me and my team for Year 2 of our Student Legislative Advisory Committee!

Our committee is a great opportunity for students to:

  • Speak with local and state politicians.
  • Propose legislation.
  • And visit our state Capitol, Harrisburg!

An important message from the Pennsylvania Department of Health

Getting back to school and protecting your family from measles starts with the MMR vaccine! Talk with your healthcare provider about getting vaccinated. If you don’t have insurance or are underinsured, you can still get the MMR vaccine for free at any of the Department of Health’s 59 state health centers. Find one close to you here and watch the video below to learn more.
