Hello Inquirer –
Happy New Year! As your newly elected Representative, wanted to let you know how grateful I am for the opportunity to serve our community, and to be your voice on Capitol Hill. It is truly the honor of a lifetime to represent House District 10.
As your Representative, I am committed to building on Utah’s solid foundation, while focusing on the issues that are most pressing for our community: lower taxes, reduced government spending, and affordable housing for our children and grandchildren.
The Beehive State’s 2025 General Session kicks off on Tuesday, Jan. 21. This 45-day session will be fast-paced and full of opportunities to tackle important issues. I’m excited to keep you updated throughout the process - watch for weekly newsletters and opportunities to discuss the issues throughout the session. This year, I will be serving on Natural Resources and Revenue & Taxation standing committees. Our committee meetings and House floor sessions are open to the public and broadcast live. I’d love to see you there in person, or you can follow along online at le.utah.gov.
On Tuesday, January 7th, I will be co-hosting a pre-session townhall at the Pleasant Valley Library Black Box Theatre at 7pm, with House Majority Whip Karianne Lisonbee, and House District 11 Representative Katy Hall. We look forward to hearing from constituents, discussing the issues, and highlighting some of the legislative priorities for this session.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out and share what’s on your mind. I am here to represent you.
With gratitude,
Jill
