Local Officials Sworn In

Last evening, I was thrilled to be able to attend the Borough of Hatboro swearing-in ceremony for the members who were re-elected to council.

The new Hatboro Council Leadership was established as follows:
Council President - Nicole Reichner
Council Vice President - Amanda Jacobus
Council Pro-Tem - Alex Myers

Local government involvement truly makes a difference. 🏛️ It empowers community voices in decisions about schools, roads, safety, and local services. I'm especially grateful to the individuals who serve on all local boards—your commitment and hard work play a vital role in strengthening our community.

Christmas Tree Collection Around the District

Wondering how to get rid of your Christmas trees now that the holidays are over?

Here are the tree disposal schedules for the various townships and boroughs in the 152nd District.

In Lower Moreland Township, there will be curbside yard waste collections on the first three Mondays in January. Regular curbside collection for yard waste will resume during the first week of April. Please remember that residents can drop off yard waste by appointment at the Public Works facility during February and March. Additionally, ensure that all Christmas decorations and lights are removed from your tree before pickup!

In Abington Township, curbside tree disposal is on regular trash days from January 4th-January 31st.

In Upper Moreland Township, curbside tree pickup will run on Mondays during January and February.

And in Hatboro Borough, trees can be placed curbside for collection by the Public Works Department on either of your regularly scheduled trash collection days.

UFCW Local 1776 Holiday Lunch

Prior to the holidays, I and several other lawmakers, as well as my District Office staff, were invited to the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776 Union holiday lunch. It gave us time to celebrate the holidays with friends and coworkers and show our appreciation for unions such as the UFCW. Unions, like UFCW, are the backbone of fair workplaces. For working people, unions help provide affordable health insurance, prescription drug coverage, living wages, safe working conditions, and an equal opportunity and voice in the workplace. Being able to celebrate the amazing work they do all year long reminds us of how important these unions are to the wellbeing of families across our district and state.

I was thankful for the opportunity to recognize the dedication of workers across the district and to thank the unions that continue to stand with them and support their work.
