The City of Pensacola is assessing vacant land near the Bay Center as part of a long-term vision to create a vibrant, connected community that promotes job creation, supports safety and walkability, and improves the quality of life.
But we need your voice to move forward.
Right now, there are three possible options are under consideration:
- Option 1- Convention Center: A modern convention center that would host conferences, trade shows and large gatherings, drawing visitors from across the region.
- Option 2- Ice Rink: A year-round ice rink offering public skating and programs, as well as the capacity to host teams and regional tournaments.
- Option 3- Indoor Sports Complex: A multicourt, indoor sports complex designed for basketball, volleyball and other indoor sports, supporting local leagues and regional tournaments.
Redevelopment may happen in phases, and your feedback will help guide the process. The project would be supported by a public bond, with plans to pursue private investment and grant funding to reduce economic impacts on residents.
The survey should take just a few minutes, and all responses are anonymous. Your input will help us understand community priorities and plan a project that brings the greatest benefit to Pensacola.
The survey will be live through Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.
