Dear Neighbors,

Last evening, a 28-year-old man was shot and killed on the 800 Block of W. Lill Ave. The offenders fled from the scene. At this time, there is no confirmed information on the victim nor any known connection between the victim and the offenders. Detectives are currently at the scene to investigate and gather more information. As we have further updates, we will continue to share with the community.

This is yet another reminder of the work we have to do as a City to combat violence. I’ve asked the 19th district to increase patrols in the area, and as we head into the summer, I will continue to push City Hall for the resources our Ward needs.
