ERIE STANDS TOGETHER

My heart is heavy for our community after the tragic events last week in Erie. I attended the vigil to remember the lives tragically lost Friday night and to stand alongside the victims' families, friends, and neighbors during an unimaginable time.

Please keep the victims, their loved ones, and everyone affected by this tragedy in your prayers. And in the days ahead, let’s show up for one another – with compassion and support. Check on your neighbors, support those who are grieving, and come together to help our community heal.

MY OFFICE IS HOSTING A COLLECTION DRIVE

Here is a chance to give back to our community before the holiday season. I’m always inspired by the generosity of our community, and yet again, my office is collecting personal care products to help our neighbors in need.

All donations will be delivered to the West Millcreek Food Pantry before the holiday season.

🙏🏼 If you’re able to donate, every contribution makes a difference. Thank you for helping us make the holidays a little brighter for families in our community!

📍 Donations can be dropped off at our Millcreek office, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

CRISSCROSSING PENNSYLVANIA

As chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee, I serve on the House Majority Leadership team. We crisscross the state listening to members of our local communities and working on solutions that make life easier for working families.

This week, a PA House Democratic Policy Committee roundtable searched for a safer path forward. We brought local leaders together in Butler County with the PA Secretary of Transportation to tackle a critical need: a $102 million Route 228 upgrade.

Led by Rep. Brandon Dukes, the roundtable united municipal, county and regional partners around a shared goal: securing the funding needed to deliver long-overdue improvements for drivers, families and businesses.

Thanks to PennDOT’s funding commitment, we’re one step closer to a safer, more efficient Route 228.

Following two events this week, the committee has held 87 hearings across 55 neighborhoods so far this legislative session, with 56 different leaders hosting events.
