Standing up for our immigrant communities

Real public safety builds trust, not fear. I am proud to join my colleagues in supporting bills that focus on making our immigrant neighbors, and all of us, safer.

This set of bills includes supports for the community - like helping crime victims and encouraging entrepreneurs- as well as limits on unlawful and unwise ICE policies like unmarked cars and masks.

My bill with Rep. Joe Hohenstein would allow people without Social Security Numbers to apply for a license using other valid documents. After passing their driver test, they would be able to legally drive on the road, improving accountability and cooperation with law enforcement.

Responsible law enforcement respects the Constitution and the rights of all people.

The Shapiro administration has also put together a list of resources for individuals and organizations/businesses to consider during immigration enforcement operations: Know Your Rights | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
