The Return on Equity Act – HB 2224
Passes House Unanimously

Utility companies are making billions of dollars in hidden fees - and Pennsylvanians are footing the bill. The Return on Equity Act would fix the outdated and aggressive formula used by multibillion-dollar utility companies right here in Pennsylvania.

I was proud to vote YES to make sure you are only paying what is necessary to keep your lights on and water running – not a penny more.

I am committed to protecting Pennsylvania consumers by putting people over profits and holding big corporations accountable.

Data Center Transparency and Protections Bills Pass the House

Data centers aren’t coming to Pennsylvania, they’re already here. We need to make sure that if big tech comes to Montgomery County and the 152nd District, we are protecting our families, holding Big Tech accountable, and allowing our local community leaders to make the decisions that will impact their neighborhoods the most.

Last week, I voted to make sure that when we talk about energy advancements in our communities, YOU won’t be footing the bill.

Right now, one in five Pennsylvanians is struggling to pay their utility bills already, without the presence of a data center sucking up our water sources and straining the electrical grid.

With the bills that have already passed the House and others that are in final consideration, we are helping to keep the lights on, costs down, and protect Pennsylvanians from the harm of Big Tech.

AI Transparency (HB 95) – Passed the House

Protect our Families Bill (HB 1834) – Passsed the House

Keep Big Tech Accountable (HB 2150) – Passed the House

The Community Decides (HB 2151) – Passed the House

Protecting Our Clean Water (HB 2246) – Passed the House

The progress of the above bills can be followed by going to The Official Website of the Pennsylvania General Assembly and searching the bill number.

I am proud to vote on legislation that doesn’t stop progress but protects it.

Fairness PA Press Conference and Flag Unveiling

Last week, I joined fellow lawmakers and Fairness PA for a press conference on the Capitol steps. Advocates from both Fairness PA and members of the House spoke on issues and legislation that directly impact the LGBTQ+ community.

Speakers emphasized the importance of advancing measures such as the Fairness Act, which would add explicit protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression, in employment, housing, education, and public accommodations.

I will continue to fight to promote equity and combat discrimination of any kind to ensure that every Pennsylvanian can live, work, and thrive with dignity and respect.

Abington Police 'Fill Emergency Vehicles' Food Drive

Join the Abington Township Police Dept., PA for their Annual Food Drive on Saturday, July 18th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Roslyn Giant, Huntingdon Valley Giant, and Abington Grocery Outlet Bargain Market!

They are collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support families in need right here in our community. Every donation makes a difference!

Resurfacing Operations in Upper Moreland Begin
July 7th

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations will continue on more than 15 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.

In our district, the area affected is in Upper Moreland Township on Fitzwatertown Road between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Beachwood Road. The work will begin on Tuesday, July 7th and run through Friday, October 23rd and will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
