Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I hope you find this week’s News and Events email helpful as we look at what’s coming up in and around the district.  As always, my team and I are here to help you with any state-related matter and are happy to provide as much information as we can.

Whether you need a service, want to share your concerns, offer ideas or drop off a donation for one of our drives, we’d love to see you at my district office during our walk-in hours of 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.  Alternatively, feel free to reach out at (215) 517-6800 or via email at RepSanchez@pahouse.net.

Wishing you and yours a good week ahead.

Sincerely,

State Representative Ben Sanchez

Announcing Grant Awards for our Community!

I am pleased to announce $1.2 million in state grant funding wins for three projects in Abington and Upper Dublin.

On December 18th I announced the approval of Local Share Account – Statewide grants that will support significant investments in education, community health care and transportation infrastructure across eastern Montgomery County.

These LSA grants represent smart, targeted investments that strengthen our workforce pipeline, expand access to essential health services, and improve quality of life in our communities. From preparing students for high-demand cybersecurity careers, to expanding dental care for uninsured neighbors, to creating safer options for walking and biking, these projects deliver real benefits for the residents of our local community and beyond.

The three projects awarded are:

Penn State Abington: $248,500 towards a Cybersecurity Analytics Lab Expansion Project

Manor College: $652,123 for full support of the Manor College Dental Health Center Expansion Project

Upper Dublin Township Municipal Authority: $350,000 toward the Dreshertown Road Cross County Trail Extension Project

PTRR Deadline Coming Up!

Please remember that if you qualify for and are planning to apply for the state's Property Tax Rent Rebate Program for the 2024 tax year, you must submit your application by December 31, 2025.  With the holidays coming up, this means that you only have four more days to have our office help you with your application and twelve more days until the deadline.

If you're planning on coming into the office to review your application before submitting it, we suggest that you call us first to make sure that you have all of the documents that you need to complete the process. Call 215-517-6800 to check with one of our Constituent Service Advisors.  We will be open for normal walk in hours from 10am-3pm December 22, 23, 29 and 30.
