The Keystone Contractors Association (KCA) Scholarship Program is entering its fifth year, and to date, the program has awarded $80,000 in scholarships to students committed to building their futures - and Pennsylvania's future - right here at home.

 

This is not just a scholarship, it is an investment in Pennsylvania's workforce, our construction industry and the next generation of leaders who will design, build and maintain the places where we live, learn and work.

 

Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents, students with a construction degree focus and must attend a Pennsylvania college, university or trade school, and recipients must pursue education and careers with the goal of building and strengthening Pennsylvania's communities, economy and infrastructure.

A Getaway Guide for America's 250th Anniversary

Applications are now being accepted for the PA House of Representatives Scholarship Program. The Program – administered through The Foundation for Enhancing Communities – is for graduating high school seniors who reside in the Commonwealth of PA. TFEC awards a four-year scholarship to two high school seniors each year. The award consists of the value of one semester of tuition at the State System of Higher Education for each of four years. Students must maintain eligibility criteria in all four years to receive the ongoing award.

This weekend Winter Storm Fern dropped 10 inches of snow and a pesky layer of sleet and ice on all areas in our district. While fun for the kiddos, dogs, and even some adults – this made roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks extremely treacherous.

 

Many thanks to the Public Works Departments of Hatboro Borough, Abington Township, Upper Moreland Township, and Lower Moreland Township for working long hours and starting before the snow even began to fall.
