WORKING ON SOLUTIONS

Expanding the use of body cams by more law enforcement agencies ran into a snag – PA's wiretap law needs updated.

Erie County Councilman Rock Copeland saw the problem & asked me for help. Now legislation is on the way.

HOW WE VOTED

To see how we voted on all measures, go here. The House will return to session Monday.

SEEING ERIE’S INNOVATION, PRECISION

Pennsylvania has always been built by the hands of hardworking men and women in manufacturing—and that legacy is still going strong right here in Erie.

I had the opportunity to join members of the House Manufacturing Caucus, in my district, at Industrial Sales & Manufacturing Inc. and see firsthand the innovation, precision, and pride that goes into their work. From skilled trades to advanced production, it’s clear that companies like this are driving our local economy forward and creating good-paying jobs for our community.

Thank you to the team at ISM for welcoming me back and for continuing to invest in Erie’s future. When we support manufacturing, we’re supporting workers, families, communities, and the backbone of Pennsylvania.

TAX FORMS ARE STILL AVAILABLE

Tax season is underway, and we’re here to help. Our office has state and federal tax forms and schedules available for anyone who prefers to file the traditional way.

Stop by our Millcreek office in the Peninsula Plaza at 1101 Peninsula Drive. Grab what you need, we’re always happy to help!

SUSPICIOUS TEXTS ARE SCAMS

As we’ve heard in Policy Committee hearings, scams—specifically those targeting older residents—are on the rise. If you receive a suspicious text about a traffic violation or fine, it is likely another attempt to obtain personal information, including your banking details.

Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation NEVER sends text messages about traffic violations or fines. These scams have proliferated in recent years, and PennDOT and the PA Turnpike now post warnings on their websites about suspicious text messages. Protect your personal information and privacy, and please don’t fall for this scam.

If you received this message or email, you may submit a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection online, by calling the Office at 1-800-441-2555, or by emailing scams@attorneygeneral.gov

STATEWIDE TRAVEL, SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS

As the House Majority Policy Committee Chairman, and a member of the House Majority Leadership team, I travel the state with the Policy Committee to hear from workers, seniors, advocates, business leaders, and officials on emerging topics and initiatives. We examine how policies are helping people across the state or learn how we can pass reforms to help even more people.

The Policy Committee completed its third consecutive week of hearings with a pair of sessions in Harrisburg. The committee has hosted 55 hearings with 43 hosts across 38 neighborhoods during the 2025–26 legislative session, including 11 hearings this year.

UP NEXT: The committee will host a hearing Wednesday, March 25 in Harrisburg on wage disparity in higher education. Then, on Monday, March 30 the Policy Committee will travel to to the city of Chester in Delaware County on housing challenges, followed by a hearing on Tuesday, March 31 in Springfield, Delaware County on private equity’s impact on volunteer firefighters.
