Summer Office Hours

Please note that my office’s summer hours are now in effect. We will be closing at noon every Friday through Labor Day. Stay safe and enjoy your summer!

My Week at the Capitol

I had a very exciting week at the Capitol, as the state House unanimously passed my bill to fight the nonconsensual sharing of intimate images. I also introduced new legislation aimed at holding insurance company executives accountable for coverage denials that result in serious injury or death.

Additionally, I was proud to vote for and advance over a dozen meaningful bills and send them to the Senate, including:

H.B. 37 – Helping county election workers by allowing the counting of mail-in and absentee ballots up to seven days before an election.

H.B. 1262 – Requiring electronic filing of campaign finance reports and imposing daily fines for reports not timely filed.

H.B. 2109 – Helping people find housing by restricting how local government can limit the number of unrelated people living together in one dwelling, also known as the “Golden Girls Law”.

H.B. 2145 – Limiting the use of PFAS “forever chemicals” in certain products.

H.B. 2550 – Making health insurance affordable for more working people by establishing the Small Business Health Care Premiums Contribution Tax Credit.

Remember, to become law, these bills must also be passed by the state Senate and approved by the governor. Click here to read about more of the nearly 400 bills the PA House has passed throughout this legislative session.

Pittsburgh Pride 2026

Vibes were high at the 2026 Pittsburgh Pride Parade! What a joyful celebration of love we experienced this year. It is so amazing to be with thousands of friends committed to building a world where LGBTQIA+ folks are free to be themselves.

Happy Pride to all!

Touch a Truck

The annual Exceptional Citizens Expo in Ross Township is one of my favorite events of the year! Thank you to the Ross Township Police Department, Parks and Recreation, Department of Public Works, West View Police, and all our local fire companies for creating such an inclusive and welcoming event for kids in our community.

80 Years of ALCOSAN

Congratulations to ALCOSAN on 80 years of service to our region! As Chair of the ALCOSAN Board, I was honored to help celebrate this milestone, dedicate the new outfall, and present a bipartisan PA House citation recognizing ALCOSAN's contributions to public health and clean water in Allegheny County.

Congratulations to Four New Eagle Scouts

My office staff member Sean Zmenkowski, an Eagle Scout himself, had the honor of presenting a PA House citation to four new Eagle Scouts at Northmont United Presbyterian Church! Congratulations to Sean Clark, Christopher Glaz, Samay Shetty, and Anthony Slegal on achieving this prestigious milestone. I was proud to see their Eagle Scout projects involved rehabilitating local nature trails and cemeteries.

Becoming an Eagle Scout through Scouting America is a fantastic way for young people to develop leadership, service, and community building skills they can use throughout their lives to make the world a better place for everyone.

Farmers Market Fun

The Bellevue Farmers Market is now happening from 3 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday through October. Come find Luke at our table at the next one!

Bellevue Dog Woods

Have you visited Bellevue Dog Woods yet? Pittsburgh City Paper just published a great article with all the details on this garbage pile glow-up that is now beloved by many local pups and their owners.

Bellevue Dog Woods is an Una-approved canine oasis! She had a great time tabling there.
