On top of the progress on my bills, the PA House continued its incredibly productive streak of passing great legislation to improve the lives of Pennsylvanians, including:
H.B. 95 – Requiring clear disclosure when any part of an advertisement is generated or modified using artificial intelligence.
H.B. 2084 – Making college more affordable by creating the Pennsylvania Promise Program, providing scholarships to help households with incomes up to $250,000 pay tuition at state colleges and universities.
H.B. 2243 – Protecting child victims of trafficking from prosecution for nonviolent offenses they were forced to commit.
H.B. 2450 – Maintaining nuclear emergency preparedness by updating the fee schedule nuclear power facilities pay to support state oversight of nuclear safety and emergency response.
H.B. 2540 – Enhancing security for SNAP by requiring the state Department of Human Services to issue chip-enabled cards for SNAP recipients by the start of 2028.
Remember, to become law, these bills must also be passed by the state Senate and approved by the governor. Click here to read about more of the over 400 bills the PA House has passed throughout this legislative session.
