Dog License Purchases for 2026 Available in December
|
Beginning December 1st, dog owners can buy an annual license for 2026 online by clicking on their county at Apply for a Dog License | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
An annual license costs $10.80. Lifetime licenses are available for $52.80 for dogs with permanent identification, like a microchip or tattoo. Senior adults and people with disabilities may be eligible for discounted fees of $8.80 for an annual license or $36.80 for a lifetime license.
Pet safety is a team sport — and dog licenses help keep your dog out of a shelter if they get lost. Dog licenses also fund the important work that dog wardens do to protect all Pennsylvania dogs and the communities they live in.

Meet Our New Constituent Service Advisor – Taylor
|
Taylor McKinney is the newest addition to my amazing office staff! She may look familiar -- Taylor was an intern here for the past two summers, and we are so happy to now have her as a full-time staff member.
Taylor graduated from West Chester University with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and is interested in a career in government and human resources. Taylor can’t wait to see some friendly faces from her intern days, as well as meet all the new residents who need help with any state-related issue!
Please help me welcome Taylor to our office!

Kicking Off the Holiday Season – 65th Annual Hatboro Holiday Parade
|
What a beautiful day to ring in the holiday season! It was sunny but windy as we took our stroll down York Road, along with the Phillie Phanatic, marching bands, firetrucks from several communities, and floats from other organizations around the area. Santa and Mrs. Claus even made an appearance! I love seeing so many familiar faces and celebrating the holiday season with so many of you.

A Place To Play: An Inclusive Park and Playground Ribbon Cutting
|
Last week, I attended a ribbon cutting for the new inclusive playground at Roychester Park in Abington. A Place to Play brings to life core values of accessibility, equity, and community spirit and sends a clear message of inclusivity. I am proud to represent a legislative district where people belive every child – regardless of ability- deserves the chance to play, laugh, explore, and belong.
Thank you to everyone who made A Place to Play possible.

Let’s Talk Education Meeting at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology
|
I was invited to an informal gathering with Montgomery County educators as well as other community leaders, for a conversation about pressing issues that are impacting our educational systems in this region. I always welcome the chance to sit down with people who are integral parts of the system to discuss what challenges they face and how we, as community and state leaders, can work together to make it better. Hearing from those who are deeply rooted in the education system gives us the insight we need to make changes that will improve the schools for children and the needs of educators.
Thank you to Eastern Center for Arts and Technology for hosting us, and thank you to the culinary students for making us a delicious breakfast!

Please join me and my staff on Friday, December 5th from 6:30 PM-7:30 PM for our annual Holiday Open House. Please stop by after the Hatboro Christmas Tree Lighting – which will take place at 6 PM at the Union Library of Hatboro - and join us for conversation and light refreshments. Meet my staff and learn how we can help!
|
Our office will be hosting our Pet Meet & Greet event on Sunday, December 7th, which will include cats and dogs from Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue and Lucky Pups Dog Rescue. This is your chance to meet a furry friend up for adoption and begin the application process – no pets will be adopted on the day of the event.
Leading up to the event, we are accepting donations for our Pet Donation Drive, which will be shared with the organizations on the day of the event to help keep their adoption sites filled with necessary items to run their shelters. Please see the flyer for requested donations.
Thank you in advance for any donations you can spare!
