Recently, our office hosted another successful E-Waste Recycling Event at King Park in Warrington. Thanks to 611 Metals for supplying the truck, and thank you to my staff for helping with the heavy lifting!

Today, Sept. 9, the PA House will meet in Congress Hall for a historic session commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 250th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Constitution. Congress Hall is part of the Independence Mall in Independence National Historical Park in Old City, Philadelphia.

Some of the U.S. Constitution’s most enduring principles were inspired by Pennsylvania’s Constitution, adopted in September 1776. I’m honored to take part in this historic legislative session commemorating America’s 250th birthday and celebrating Pennsylvania’s lasting contribution to our nation’s founding. The Pennsylvania Treasury has launched a new online Financial Education Hub, providing a centralized collection of resources to help you improve your financial literacy and make informed financial decisions.

The hub covers topics including budgeting, saving, retirement planning, digital assets and cryptocurrency, along with information about Treasury programs such as PA 529, Keystone Scholars, and PA ABLE. Resources are tailored to groups including students, teachers, active-duty military members, veterans, and older adults.

PHEAA will be hosting statewide webinars from September through November. These sessions will cover key topics including searches for scholarships, preparing to file for the 2027-28 FAFSA, and more! Use the QR codes to register for each webinar.

Last week, state health officials reported the first two measles-associated deaths in Pennsylvania in 35 years and outlined a statewide effort to protect residents.

 Since the April outbreak, there have been 393 confirmed cases across 28 counties. Access to the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine has expanded, with more than 4,100 vaccinations delivered at 91 pop-up clinics and 40 more clinics planned. In July 2026 alone, more than 35,000 Pennsylvanians received the MMR vaccine—about 10,000 more than in a typical month.

If you or your children are unvaccinated or unsure of your status, please schedule an MMR vaccination as soon as possible; two doses provide about 97% lifetime protection. If you believe you were exposed and develop a fever, cough, runny nose, red or watery eyes, or a rash that starts on the head and spreads downward, isolate and contact your healthcare provider or call DOH at 877-PA-HEALTH (877-724-3258). Current guidance, the measles dashboard, and vaccination locations are available at pa.gov/measles.

As we approach the General Election on Tuesday, November 3, here are some key dates to remember:

• Monday, Oct. 19 – Last day to register to vote.
• Tuesday, Oct. 27– Last day to apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot.
• Tuesday, Nov. 3 – Election Day: Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters must be in line by 8 p.m. to cast their ballot. Mail-in and absentee ballots must be received by your county election office by 8 p.m.

To make our office’s constituent services as accessible as possible, I have established remote office hours at local township buildings throughout our legislative district.

We will be at the following locations from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on the days indicated:

• Warrington Township Building: Third Tuesday every month; next is September 15.
• Warminster Library: Third Wednesday of every month; next is September 16.

• Warminster Township Building: First Tuesday of every month; next is October 6.
• Ivyland Borough: Second Tuesday of every month; next is October 13.
