Changes Coming to Medicaid in Pennsylvania
|
Big changes are coming to Pennsylvania’s Medicaid program beginning January 1st, 2027. Under a new federal law, some adults ages 19-64 will need to meet new work and community-engagement requirements, and some Medicaid recipients will have their eligibility reviewed every six months instead of annually.
If you receive Medicaid, it is important to make sure that DHS has your current address and contact information so you do not miss notices about your benefits. You can update your information through COMPASS and sign up for text and email alerts from DHS.
If you receive a notice from DHS or need help updating your information, my office can submit changes to DHS and communicate with the department on your behalf to help make sure your information is received and your case is properly updated. Email us at repguenst@pahouse.net or call 215-259-5962.

Along with Rep. Melissa Cerrato and Rep. Brian Munroe, we held our 4th successful Veterans Expo at the VE Club in Warminster on Friday. Being a veteran myself, I understand the importance of getting veterans the resources and information they need to be successful and feel supported. Our expo offered veterans a chance to get connected with services and programs designed to assist them and their unique needs, meet and network with fellow veterans, as well as meet the representatives that are serving them in Harrisburg.
Thank you to everyone from each of the offices that made this Veterans Expo possible and many thanks to all the veterans who came and made this event such a success. We thank you for your service.

73rd Anniversary of the American Korean Alliance
|
Along with Senator Maria Collett, Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, Rep. Steve Malagari, and Rep. Melissa Cerrato – I attended the 73rd Anniversary of the American Korean Alliance in North Wales on Sunday.
It was an honor to join members of our Korean American community to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the American-Korean Alliance. As an Army veteran, I am especially grateful for the enduring friendship between our two nations, built on shared sacrifice, service, and a commitment to peace and freedom. It was a meaningful opportunity to honor the past while celebrating the strong partnership that continues today.

Resilience Resource Center Begins New Afterschool Program for Youth
|
I am so excited to share this wonderful new program through the Resilience Resource Center (RRC) in Huntingdon Valley. If you are not familiar, the mission of the RRC is to foster and build resilience skills in marginalized communities by providing accessible mental health services, fostering safe-space educational environments, and teaching career skills to improve the quality of life for marginalized individuals and families.
This program is free for youth ages 11–18 and is open Monday through Friday from 3:00–8:00 p.m. The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) supports the program through Pennsylvania’s Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP/BOOST) initiative, providing supervised after-school access, academic and technology support, activities, food, wellness programming, career and life skills, and opportunities for young people to connect.
If you know of anyone who could benefit from this program, or have any questions about the RRC, please reach out to Joseph or Darrel at 267-369-1700.
