HAPPY EASTER

I would like to wish each of you a joyful and rewarding Easter. May you be surrounded by those people who love you.

Spring is a time of renewal, hope, and reflection. It’s a reminder of the strength we find in our communities and the grace and kindness we share with one another. I’m grateful every day to serve caring neighbors and families who look out for each other and make our community stronger.

My office will be closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday to allow the members of my team to spend time with their families.

We will begin returning messages on the morning of Tuesday, April 7.

HAPPY PASSOVER

Wishing my friends and all who celebrate a meaningful and blessed Passover.

As families gather to share the Seder, may this holiday serve as a powerful reminder of resilience, faith, and the enduring pursuit of freedom.

Chag Sameach!

WORKING FOR YOU

For the first quarter of 2026, my dedicated team closed 5,535 cases — including 2,227 in March alone. So far, we have completed nearly 500 rebates, returning $315,000 to the region. If you need help filing your Property Tax & Rent Rebate, trust the professionals — we’re here to make it easy.

Stop by our Millcreek office or contact us if you have questions.

HOW WE VOTED

The House returns to Harrisburg on Monday, April 13. You can always see how we voted here.

Earlier this session, we voted on numerous bills. Contrary to lies posted online, NO VOTE was taken on ending property taxes. The vote in question was a procedural vote on the constitutionality of a legislative measure, not on the amendment itself.

I do not like paying high property taxes. I want them reduced or eliminated as much as anyone. But when that time comes, it must be done responsibly and with a real plan to secure the funding needed to meet the General Assembly’s constitutional obligation to properly fund public education.

POLICY COMMITTEE ON THE ROAD

The Policy Committee hosted a pair of hearings this week in Delaware County on the housing crisis and private equity’s impact on firefighting. The committee has hosted 58 hearings with 44 hosts across 39 neighborhoods during the 2025–26 legislative session.

As the House Majority Policy Committee Chairman, and a member of the House Majority Leadership team, I travel the state with the Policy Committee to hear from workers, seniors, advocates, business leaders, and officials on emerging topics and initiatives. We examine how policies are helping people across the state or learn how we can pass reforms to help even more people.

On Monday night, experts explained the unique challenges facing the city of Chester as House Democrats push for legislation to allow for more homes that people can afford. On Tuesday morning, officials and fire companies met for a hearing in Springfield. Testimony detailed the trend of more companies using aging or purchasing used trucks because of the astronomical costs of replacements and lengthy delays in delivering apparatus. House Democrats are working on a bill to protect fire companies.

BIG NEWS FOR ERIE 250 CELEBRATIONS

More than $275,000 is being invested into Erie 250 celebrations — fueling community projects AND bringing a concert and events to our region through Erie Events as part of the America 250PA series.

This is one way we keep Erie moving forward.

WORKING FOR YOU

I will always advocate for you and local projects in Harrisburg. Our region is vital to the state’s economy, so I’ve gone to work to secure the state funding we need for local schools, seniors, veterans, improved housing and local businesses. This legislative session, state funding for projects in our region has surpassed $31.5 million.

You sent me to Harrisburg to make sure our region has a voice at the table and receives the funding it needs to thrive.

HELPING SHAPE THE FUTURE FOR WOMEN

For more than 60 years, Pennsylvania has worked to better understand and advance the status of women across our Commonwealth. The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Women launched the start of its forthcoming State of the Woman Report.

Women across Pennsylvania are invited to share their experiences by participating in the State of the Woman digital survey. Your voice will help shape this important report.

In addition to the survey, the Commission will host 13 listening tour stops across Pennsylvania, including one virtual session, to hear directly from women in their communities.

If you’re interested in participating, consider joining one of these upcoming sessions:

🖥️ May 1 – Virtual Session
📍 May 11 – Erie
📍 May 12 – Erie

Your perspective matters, and I hope you’ll take part in helping shape the future for women in Pennsylvania.

DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER TO VOTE

May 4 is the last day to register to vote or update your address. It only takes a few minutes to register. Don't wait, do it today at PA’s Voter Registration Application page.
