Wins for Older Pennsylvanians |
|
|
|
The 2026-27 Pennsylvania budget delivered major wins for older adults and the services they rely on.
The budget invests in aging programs, including $155 million for PACE and PACENET, $19.9 million for the Department of Aging’s general operations, and $4 million for Aging Our Way, PA. It also provides $3.5 million for LIFE program providers and renews the budget neutrality factor for two years to protect funding for nonprofit nursing homes.
The budget also strengthens health and human services for seniors, including $182 million for the LIFE program, $9.4 million more for Medical Assistance managed care, $5.2 million for blind and visual services, $81 million for the Nursing Homes Budget Adjustment Factor, and $7 million for chip-enabled SNAP cards.
Together, these investments help older Pennsylvanians access affordable prescription drugs, health care, long-term services, nutrition assistance and the support they need to live independently and with dignity. |

$2 Million in Grants Secured |
|

|
I am thrilled to announce that HP Bristol Pike LLC will receive $1 million in state grant funding through the Commonwealth’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program for the Levittown Bristol Pike Redevelopment.
Investing in the renovation of 244 Radcliffe Street ensures that a historic property in Bristol Borough will be preserved, modernized, and made fully accessible.
In addition, I'm proud to announce a $1 million grant has been awarded to B Mazzocchi Development to help transform the long-vacant property at 109 Radcliffe Street into a new family entertainment complex.
Funded by the Commonwealth’s Office of the Budget, RACP provides funding for the design, acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
These projects brings us closer to revitalizing underused land and attracting jobs right here to Bristol Township.

I’m proud to share that Salute 2 Service, Inc. is collecting new school supplies to support the children of veterans, military families, and local families in need throughout our community. Donations of backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, calculators, tissues, hand sanitizer, and other new school supplies will help ensure students have the tools they need for a successful start to the school year.

Every donation—big or small—helps make a meaningful difference in a child's education and confidence on the first day of school. Community members are encouraged to participate and help local students begin the school year prepared to succeed.

Access to basic hygiene is essential. Residents experiencing homelessness in Bucks County can take advantage of free showers at the Bucks County Opportunity Council's Bristol Office, located at 721 Veterans Highway, Bristol, PA 19007.
Showers are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with no appointment necessary. Towels and toiletries are provided at no cost.
