Dear Neighbor,

I hope that you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather and the many events and activities happening in our community.

On that note, you’re invited to a few of my office’s upcoming events. First, I will host a news conference announcing the re-opening of St. Peter’s Road this coming Monday. Then, on May 22, I highly encourage area healthcare and bio-tech professionals to consider attending my Future of Healthcare symposium to network and hear from experts on the administration – and future – of healthcare in Pennsylvania. On June 6, I’ll host another paper shredding and e-recycling event to help wrap your end of spring cleaning. It will feature a non-perishable food donation drive for the Chester County Food Bank, as well.

Additionally, from 10 a.m. to noon May 21, I encourage you stop by the Phoenixville Area Senior Center and speak with staff from U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan's and my office for our joint constituent service day. We will be available to help you with state and federal programs and concerns. Contact my office if you have any questions ahead of time.

Read on to learn more about each event and to register. As always, I look forward to meeting you where we work, live and play!

Sincerely,

PennDOT to dedicate St. Peter’s Road restoration work

This month, I joined Kevin Loftus from Loftus Construction for a tour of the St. Peter's Road project, and I’m proud to report that crews are almost finished and ahead of schedule, in time for the Memorial Day weekend. This was a thorough and well executed rebuild. I was seriously impressed. The new and improved road will serve St. Peter's Village and our whole community for many, many years into the future.

We are going to hold a ribbon cutting with Transportation Secretary Mike Carroll at 9 a.m. Monday, May 18, so if you are as excited as I am about the road opening, please join us out at the Village! We’ll be at approximately 3219 St. Peter’s Road.

Future of Healthcare is May 22

I am looking forward to our Future of Healthcare symposium next Friday. This event, hosted by me and my House colleague Rep. Bridget Kosierowski, along with Penn Medicine, will feature several panel discussions, covering topics such as AI in medicine, rural healthcare access, and how Pennsylvania can foster the types of investment and innovation that improve care and strengthen the delivery of health care in the commonwealth.

The half-day event is designed to bring together leaders in medicine, biotech, research and policy. It will feature several panels and remarks from top pioneers and executives in the industry as we examine the state of healthcare, the primary challenges that our communities are facing and emerging innovation that can address those challenges, as well as public policy considerations.

For more information about our panelists and agenda, and to sign up, visit PaHouse.com/FutureofHealthcare.
