Property Tax Rent Rebate (PTRR) Clinic

On Saturday, my office held a Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinic, designed to help those who cannot get into the office during the week to file their rebate paperwork. It was a success, as we had several constituents stop by to apply for their rebate.

If you are unfamiliar with the program, the Property Tax Rent/Rebate Program provides eligible seniors and people with disabilities with rebates on property taxes or rent paid the previous year. The program offers rebates ranging from $380-$1000 depending on need. The deadline for applications is June 30th, 2026, but the state will often extend the deadline to the end of the year.

Our office can assist you in submitting your PTRR application. Please call the office prior to submitting your application to make sure you have the correct documentation and to make sure you are eligible for the program.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have!

SEPTA’s New Bus Network Initiative to Begin in August

Formerly known as Bus Revolution, the New Bus Network initiative represents the first-ever comprehensive redesign of SEPTA’s bus network in its 63-year history.

The New Bus Network is part of SEPTA’s commitment to making the transit system more reliable for existing customers, and useful to more people so they can attract new customers. Their goal is to make the bus network easier to use, more efficient with reduced wait times for customers, and provide overall better reliability. SEPTA will be implementing this new plan in three phases

over the next 2 years.

When fully implemented, the number of routes offering frequent service would increase from eight to 29. Additional midday, late-night, and weekend service will be added to 10 routes in Phase 1 as a foundation to this ambitious plan.

SEPTA is holding a series of in-person open houses and pop-up events throughout the service area as part of an extensive customer education and outreach campaign ahead of formal public hearings on April 15 and SEPTA Board consideration in May. Event information will be posted and updated regularly on the New Bus Network page. A Virtual Town Hall will also be held next Wednesday, March 18, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM. Attendees can pre-register HERE, from the New Bus Network page, or from the attached flyer.

SEPTA is holding two Public Hearings on Wednesday, April 15 at noon and 6 PM.  Riders, residents, and stakeholders may attend and provide comments in person at SEPTA Headquarters (1234 Market St., Philadelphia, PA  19107) or virtually. Registration links are available at https://wwww.septa.org/bus/ or in the attached flyer.

More information on the New Bus Network can be found on SEPTA’s website: https://wwww.septa.org/bus/.
