Pumpkin Carving Townhall at the South Jordan Fire Station!

We had an amazing evening at the South Jordan Fire Station for our Pumpkin Carving Townhall! It was wonderful to see so many families come together to carve pumpkins, enjoy treats, and have thoughtful conversations.

A huge thank you to Congressman Burgess Owens for joining us, and to all the constituents who took the time to participate and share their questions and ideas. Your involvement is what keeps our community strong!

Presenting to the Veterans and Military Affairs Commission

During October Interim, I had the privilege of presenting a bill to the Veterans and Military Affairs Commission that ensures active duty military members and veterans receive in-state tuition benefits at all of Utah’s higher education institutions, removing any and all barriers. I’m proud to say the commission voted unanimously to support this important bill!

Those who serve and sacrifice to protect our country deserve every opportunity to pursue their education and build their future. Utah is known for its deep respect for those who serve, and this is just one more way we’re leading the way in supporting our military members and veterans. I look forward to bringing this bill forward in the general session to make Utah an even better place for our veterans and military families.

Social media protections for youth

I’m proud of Utah’s leadership in passing innovative social media protections for youth. These laws are bipartisan efforts that prioritize safety, privacy, and parental involvement. While Big Tech and some groups continue to challenge these protections, the progress we're making is undeniable. We’re standing firm to ensure that the voices of parents and families are heard, and our kids are safeguarded from harmful online environments.
