Dear Neighbors,
I hope you all enjoyed Mother’s Day with your families! Much has been going on, both in the district and in Harrisburg, and I’m excited to bring you up to speed.
We have some promising updates from my latest quarterly Law Enforcement Caucus meeting, and I, alongside Rep. Tim Brennan, proudly awarded a House citation to a young Eagle Scout, Adhavan Balachandar.
Next Tuesday, May 19, is Primary Election Day! Make your voice heard and choose the candidate who best represents you. More information can be found below.
With great respect, Governor Josh Shapiro, along with my colleagues in the House, honored the five Pennsylvania police officers who fell in the line of duty this past year. I was honored to speak in recognition of these heroes. The brave men and women serving in law enforcement roles put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities. We remember their sacrifice, honor their service, and stand with those who continue to serve.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call my office at 215-323-6997 or reply to this email.

Remembering Our Fallen Heros
|
As a former police officer, I know the risks and sacrifices taken by the members of our law enforcement. These five men sacrificed everything to preserve and protect their community. The commonwealth is forever indebted to their families for their selfless actions.
- Patrolman Andrew Duarte of the West York Borough Police Department.
- Detective Mark Baker of the Northern York County Regional Police Department.
- Detective Sergeant Cody Becker of the Northern York County Regional Police Department.
- Detective Isaiah Emenheiser of the Northern York County Regional Police Department.
- Police Officer Andy Chan of the Philadelphia Police Department.
There is no doubt that, for all our sakes, law enforcement officers sacrifice a great deal, and some make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Please join us in honoring our fallen heroes, and all law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice by supporting this important resolution.

Law Enforcement Caucus Quarterly Meeting
|
The PA Law Enforcement Caucus hosted its first quarter meeting of 2026!
- Rep. Tom Mehaffie, R-Dauphin, passionately supported his bill, H.B. 911, which would provide law enforcement officer benefits for the surviving family members of a fallen officer.
- Rep. Sean Dougherty, D-Phila, advocated for H.B. 1289 which would provide a COLA to municipal officers and firefighters.
I look forward to continuing discussions with my fellow members of the caucus. Thank you to all the members, officers, and speakers who attended! Special thanks to Speaker Joanna McClinton for her contributions!
Footage of the Caucus meeting can be found here.

Recognizing Proud Eagle Scout Adhavan Balachandar
|
Recently, Rep. Tim Brennan and I were proud to award Eagle Scout Adhavan Balachandar a House citation for his exemplary work with the Warrington Environmental Advisory Council.
Adhavan led a team of over 50 volunteers to plant 108 native trees and plants along the Statesman Rd detention basin, transforming it into a thriving ecosystem.
Thank you for your leadership, Adhavan! It is always exciting to meet the future leaders of our communities!

This week is National Police Week, a week set aside to acknowledge and recognize the brave men and women who keep us safe. I would like to especially thank the officers in my district from the Warminster Township Police Department, Warrington Township Police Department, Ivyland Borough Police Department, and the New Britain Township Police Department.
As a former police officer myself, I can say that some of the most admirable and honorable people I have met in my career were in the force. As the chair and founder of the Law Enforcement Caucus, I am proud to have the opportunity to support local law enforcement in the Pennsylvania House. I will always fight for the resources these dedicated men and women need to continue doing their jobs effectively and safely.
If you know a police officer, please take a moment to thank them for their service this week.
