Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Whether you are voting in person or via mail-in ballot, make sure you have a plan in place!

Returning your mail-in ballot

Voters utilizing mail-in ballots have options on how to return them: by mail, at a drop box, or at an election office. Under Pennsylvania law, voters must return their own ballots. The only exceptions to this are for voters with a disability who have designated someone in writing using the Designated Agent Form to deliver their ballot.

If you requested a mail-in ballot in February, or at any time since February, you are signed up to receive a mail-in ballot for the remainder of 2026.
If you do not receive your ballot because it was lost or otherwise did not arrive, you have two options:

You can go to your polling place on Election Day and vote using a provisional ballot; or
You can go to Voter Services before Election Day and report that you did not receive your ballot. Voter Services will confirm that a ballot was mailed to you, cancel that ballot, and provide you with another ballot. You can then complete the ballot and return it directly to Voter Services to be counted on Election Day.

If you receive a mail-in ballot but later decide to vote in person, you must bring the ballot and everything that came with it in the mailing envelope to your polling place on Election Day. The Judge of Elections will void the mail-in ballot and provide you with a regular ballot to vote in person.
If you receive a mail-in ballot but believe you never requested one, contact Voter Services to have the situation clarified.

Mail-in ballots are expected to go out during the first week of October. At this time, ballots are expected to arrive in mailboxes as usual. Court action has also blocked efforts to interfere with the delivery of the ballots.
