I'm Excited to Serve You

Hi Inquirer –

I’m delighted to connect with you. My name is Jordan Teuscher, and I am honored to serve as your representative in the Utah House of Representatives for District 44, which comprises parts of South Jordan and West Jordan. Since my election in 2020, I have dedicated myself to representing our community's values and working diligently on your behalf in the state legislature.

Recently, I updated my newsletter system and added many new contacts. To those of you who are new to receiving my newsletter, welcome! For those who have been receiving it for years, thank you for your continued support and engagement. My goal is to keep you well-informed about our activities on Capitol Hill. During our general session, which spans 45 days annually from January to March, you can expect weekly updates. When we are out of session, I will provide monthly updates to keep you apprised of ongoing efforts and developments.

Transparency and accountability are cornerstones of my commitment to you. I hold these principles dearly, recognizing the trust you’ve placed in me. Whether you are a new subscriber or a long-time reader, I deeply appreciate your engagement and support.

Throughout the year, even when not in session, the legislature remains active. We use this time to prepare for the next general session, oversee government operations, and address constituent concerns. The legislature also convenes for interim committee meetings two days each month. Here are some of the committees and boards on which I currently serve:

  • Business, Economic Development, and Labor Appropriations Subcommittee
  • House Business and Labor Standing Committee
  • House Ethics Committee (Chair)
  • House Political Subdivisions Standing and Interim Committees
  • House Economic Development and Workforce Services Interim Committee
  • House Rules Committee (Vice-Chair)
  • Utah Commission on Uniform State Laws
  • Blockchain and Digital Innovation Taskforce (Co-Chair)
  • License Plate Design Review Board
  • Point of the Mountain State Land Authority Board (Co-Chair)
  • World Trade Center Utah Global Advisory Board

Additionally, I serve on the House Leadership team, where we collaborate closely with Senate leadership and minority leadership to guide and support our caucus. Almost all of our meetings are open to the public—and you can attend in person or virtually. I highly encourage you to get involved and attend or tune into our meetings. If you visit the state Capitol, please let me know—I would love the opportunity to meet you in person. Also, one of my favorite activities is giving tours of our beautiful Capitol building. Whether you’re with your family, a youth group, or a civic organization, I would be delighted to arrange a personal tour for you. Just reach out, and I’ll be happy to set it up.

Please know that in representing you, I strive to uphold and preserve the values that have made Utah the greatest state in the nation. I am deeply committed to protecting life, safeguarding individual rights such as freedom of speech and the Second Amendment, and advocating for states’ rights. Most importantly, I work to limit government overreach, maintain fiscal responsibility, and empower local control. I believe these principles will ensure that Utah remains an exceptional place to live for our children and future generations.

Your feedback and ideas are invaluable to me. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to reach out at any time.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

Warmest regards,

Jordan
