Appropriations Hearings Continue!

Appropriations committee budget hearings are well underway in Harrisburg after two weeks of meetings. As part of our job as legislators, we make sure that all questions are answered and all concerns are alleviated before considering the budget requests laid out before us. This step in the process is crucial to approving a fair and balanced budget each year.

PHEAA Scholarship Opportunity

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency is encouraging 2026–27 college students, graduate students, and parents to enter for a chance to win one of twelve $2,500 no-essay scholarships through the PA Forward Student Loan Program.

The PA Forward Student Loan Program helps students bridge the gap between financial aid and tuition costs with an affordable private education loan. The scholarship sweepstakes is an extension of the program’s mission to make higher education more attainable and to further support students pursuing their academic goals.

The PA Forward Scholarship Sweepstakes is open to Pennsylvania residents only. Twelve winners will be selected in May. Additional information and entry details are available at pheaa.org/ss.

Our Newest District Office Notary Public

Exciting news at my district office - we are adding a second Notary Public to our staff!

My newest Constituent Services Advisor, Gina, took her oath from Jeanne Sorg, Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds this week and is now ready to help anyone who comes into the office during normal business hours with state-related documents that need notarization. Congrats Gina!
