Dear Neighbors,

In this edition of my newsletter, I’m pleased to share highlights from our recent Summer Open House, recognize several outstanding local students and community members, and provide an update on legislation recently passed by the Pennsylvania House.

In addition, I’ll be sharing information about upcoming events and opportunities available throughout the district.

As always, it is an honor to serve you, and I look forward to continuing our work together.

Please note that our office will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

We will reopen with normal business hours on Monday, June 22.

Sincerely,

Our Summer Open House was a success

On Saturday, my office once again successfully hosted our Annual Summer Open House Event!

Thank you to everyone who came out— I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to connect with the members of our community, and we are grateful for your support and engagement.

My staff and I had a wonderful time speaking with constituents, hearing your perspectives, and discussing the issues that matter most to you. We look forward to continuing these conversations and serving our community in the months ahead.

Joining Warminster’s Troop 139 for their flag retirement ceremony on Flag Day

Earlier this week, it was an honor to join Warminster’s Scouting America Troop 139, as well as the veterans at the Warminster VFW during their flag retirement ceremony on Flag Day.

These young men and women are not just learning how to respectfully retire a flag, they are also learning the history and sacrifice this important American symbol represents.

Thank you to Troop 139 for continuing to teach these valuable lessons and thank you for having me.

As our country approaches the 250th anniversary of the United States next month, the Stars and Stripes remain a powerful reminder of the freedoms we cherish, and the sacrifices made to preserve them.

On this Flag Day, we proudly honored our flag and all those who have served under it in defense of our nation and its ideals.

Recognizing Eagle Scout Connor Cumiskey

In addition, I had the privilege of hosting Eagle Scout Connor Cumiskey at the Capitol in Harrisburg and presenting him with a House Citation.

Congratulations on your achievement, Connor - I had a wonderful time meeting you and your family. Keep up the great work!

Around the Capitol

Last Monday, House Bill 2446, introduced by Representative James Haddock, which establishes the Fire Company Transformational Grant Program administered through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner, passed the House.

This program would distribute $30 million annually through a grant program that recognizes the need for larger, longer-term investment in firefighting resources.

As a former firefighter, I know how important it is for our first responders to have adequate equipment, as it directly impacts their ability to respond effectively and protect both themselves and the communities they serve.

Our firefighters deserve our everlasting respect and support for their service; I was happy to vote to move this legislation forward.

HB2446 is now in the state Senate for consideration.

Last Wednesday, the House passed Representative Jennifer Mazzocco's legislation, House Bill 2550, that establishes a tax credit for small businesses.

Specifically, those with 50 or fewer employees who contribute toward their employees’ health insurance premiums through a health reimbursement arrangement for insurance purchased through Pennie.

The legislation includes important safeguards related to the quality of health insurance purchased.

Small businesses are the heart of Pennsylvania's economy, and I'm honored to vote to support them again this session.

HB2550 is now before the state Senate for consideration.

Recognizing local students with the Bucks County Cares Education Foundation’s Boomerang Youth Recognition Award

Last week, my Deputy Chief-of-Staff presented Certificates of Recognition to Jinyue and Gianni for receiving the Bucks County Cares Education Foundation’s Boomerang Youth Recognition Award for the Asset of Cultural Competence.

Keep up the great work!
