Bristol House Memory Care Site Tour
|
On Friday, state Rep. Brian Munroe and I toured the Bristol House Memory Care Unit in Warrington, PA. Bristol House Memory Care serves members in both of our legislative districts and is imperative to the care of those suffering from memory loss impairment. We were welcomed by Kim Carhart, executive director and director of nursing, who gave us a tour of their facility and then sat for a discussion on what important work they do for the community, as well as how we legislators can help and support what they do.
Bristol House is designed to encourage residents to be as active and independent as they are able. The care team supports residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating. They engage residents with several activities and programs to promote social, physical, and cognitive stimulation.
Bristol House is owned by a local family who has had success in the hospitality industry, and their goal is to make memory care more person-centered.
Thank you to Bristol House for hosting us and for providing such quality and important care to loved ones in our community.
