Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I hope you find this week’s News and Events email helpful as we look at what’s coming up in and around the district.  As always, my team and I are here to help you with any state-related matter and are happy to provide as much information as we can.

Whether you need a service, want to share your concerns, offer ideas, or drop off a donation for one of our drives, we’d love to see you at my district office during our walk-in hours of 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.  Alternatively, feel free to reach out at (215) 517-6800 or via email at RepSanchez@pahouse.net.

Wishing you and yours a good week ahead.

Sincerely,

State Representative Ben Sanchez

Upper Dublin to Host Ceremonial America250 Reading of Declaration of Independence

Upper Dublin is hosting an America250th summer to remember including a pre-July 4th ceremonial reading of the Declaration of Independence where community members and community leaders come together to read portions of this most important document in American history. I was grateful to be asked to read a portion myself and I look forward to seeing many of you there on Friday, July 3rd at 11am.  Check out all of their events below.

4th of July Events in Abington and Rockledge

The 4th of July will be one to remember this year as we celebrate America's 250th birthday right here in our home district!

The Greater Glenside Independence Day Parade and Fireworks will take place on Saturday. One of America's oldest continuously run parades will take over the Glenside streets once again! Road closures will begin at 3pm that day in the Glenside area with the parade set to begin at 4pm. Thank you to the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association for creating such a memorable experience each year.  For more information on the parade, visit Parade Day Information – GGPA: Greater Glenside Patriotic Association and please see the road closure and parking restriction information below from our Abington Township Police Department to see if these affect you...

Thanks to the Rockledge Fourth of July Association's hard work, the Borough of Rockledge will host their spectacular fireworks show on July 3rd in honor of America's 250th celebration and to kick off the holiday weekend.  On July 4th they will host their annual parade through the Borough beginning at 9am.

I look forward to seeing you all at these exciting celebrations throughout the weekend!

My District Office Summer Interns at the Capitol

I was thrilled to welcome my District Office Interns to the Capitol on Wednesday. They joined me for the day as we attended my committee meetings, caucus meeting and session. They asked good questions and listened intently.

In the fall Mackenzie will head back to Moravian University as a junior, Jolene will be off to Lehigh University for her sophomore year and Ava will be attending James Madison University as a freshman. I’m proud to have these three bright young women in my office this summer. Be sure to say hi next time you’re there!
