My Veterans Bill Passes the House

Last week my bill, HB 2024, passed out of the House unanimously and is now headed to the Senate! My bill ensures that our Commonwealth adequately prepares our County Veteran Affairs Directors to provide trauma-informed care, including military sexual trauma (MST), PTSD and traumatic brain injury to our veterans. We owe it to our veterans to see that the staff supporting them are best equipped to meet their needs.

Updates from Harrisburg

March session week in Harrisburg was filled with guests from around the Commonwealth, advocates, and passing good legislation. I was honored to welcome PA Resident and one of the original Rosie the Riveter's, Mae Krier, to the Capitol for the passage of my resolution to celebrate Rosie the Riveter Day in PA. I also held a press conference to urge the Senate to pass my bill, HB 630, for equal pay. By passing the equal pay act we invest in our working families and economy. It's a common-sense solution to a longstanding inequality.
